Inspirational Bible Verses: "He Will Give you the Desires of Your Heart."

Among inspirational Bible verses this is quite encouraging and challenging at the same time...written by the Apostle Paul, he urges the Roman believers to consecrate themselves wholly to God on the basis of what God has already done for them.

Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2

Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God,

Because of what God has already done for us, loving us in Christ, we are by these mercies compelled to give ourselves back to Him...

to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

We must give our whole selves, as gifts of thanksgiving to God, this is a reasonable demand for those rescued by Him

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Two things happen in the Christian life. We first of all put off the devices of the world, and second of all put on the virtues of Christ. Both are done by the power fo the Spirit, which produces an actual internal change rather than a mere change of behavior. When we do this, we will clearly receive guidance from the One who loves us.

It's one thing to take the boy out of Egypt, it's another to take Egypt out of the boy. The Christian life is a continual growth process of repentance, joy, and fulfilment. Don't be discouraged by this, but rather take joy in God's continual, covenant love.
